Do I have to ride a motorcycle to attend this event?
You do not have to ride a motorcycle to attend this event. This would be a wonderful introduction to the lifestyle, culture, and fun that the women of our community share. There will be plenty of other activities to engage in for all interests!
Does my admission include everything needed to camp?
Showers will be available to use at your campsite. Spots will be first come first serve. Campsite is primitive.
Will there be food available? Is food included in my ticket?
You don’t have to cook while you’re on vacation. There are plenty of great food options available from temporary food vendors, as well as our own Stage West Café. In addition, the Sons of Light Ministry provides guests with a free pancake breakfast every morning.
How do I sign up for classes?

Will I be able to re-enter if I leave?
Wrists bands will be allotted upon entry and will be your pass to re-enter both the Chip and WGT.
Can I buy a class at the event?
There will be a stand-by list that will be maintained in case there are no-shows. You will be notified in this case.
Can I bring a child?
Children are unfortunately not allowed. It would be difficult to monitor the children as there is alcohol present at the Rally.
If I only want to come for a few days, do I have to pay for the whole pass?
Yes. The pass includes activities and amenities that are incredibly discounted, so regardless of your full-attendance, the price of the 4-day pass is a killer deal!
If I want to stay for the rest of the rally, do I have to move my tent?
No, you would not have to move your tent. However, extra charges may apply.
Do I have to bring gear for the racing classes/WGT-held races?
Yes, gear is your personal responsibility. Safety is paramount in the instruction of classes and WGT requires that all riders under its supervision be properly geared.
Is the pass per camper or per tent?
The price for a 4-day pass is per attendee.
Do I have to pay extra to park an RV or bus?
Yes, and you will need to pre-register with the staff of The Wild Gypsy Tour so that accommodations can be made prior to your arrival.
What are the prohibited items?
No glass bottles, alcohol, pets, firearms, weapons, video cameras or other contraband will be allowed to enter the Buffalo Chip Campground or Amphitheater. If you are carrying a firearm you will be asked to check-it in at the box office while you are on the Buffalo Chip Campground.
Note: Backpacks or coolers are not permitted within the amphitheater at any time.
Pursuant to Sturgis, South Dakota Meade County Ordinance #27, it is, during the Rally, a Class 2 Misdemeanor for any person to ignite any fireworks or to have a campfire. The only fires allowed are: 1) liquid fueled grill, meaning a metal or stone device designed to cook food using liquefied or gaseous combustible fuel; or 2) those within a charcoal grill, meaning a metal or stone device within a firebox not resting on the ground with a metal grate designed to cook food using charcoal briquettes, char wood, hard wood or similar fuel.
Can I bring my boyfriend/husband into my tent area?
While we are huge proponents of a good time, this is an all-women's rally and security will enforce it as such.
Will there be lockers or storage?
No, personal items will be your responsibility; any lost or stolen item is not the responsibility of WGT, its staff, or The Buffalo Chip. A lost and found site will be available should any unclaimed items be found.
Will I be able to rent a motorcycle?
To be announced.
Do I have to camp out?
Camping is included in the admission, however, you have the option to rent an RV or cabin for an extra fee. You can also choose to arrange accommodation off-site, but attend the festivities, but no discount rate will apply.
If the weather is inclement, will I be refunded?
Inclement weather may cause a temporary delay or even a cancellation of some or all entertainment. No refunds will be issued due to delays, nonperformance or cancellations due to weather or any other reason.
Do I need to order my tickets in advance?
A limited number of entries will be available at the door, however, they will not be at the discounted early bird rate. We recommend that you reserve your spot in advance!
WILL I BE ABLE TO ACCESS VENDORS IF I DO NOT PurCHASE A TICKET TO THE FESTIVAL?
Vendors will be made accessible to all Chip attendees.

The Wild Gypsy Tour is excited to announce that we will be accepting volunteer applications for its first-ever festival during the Sturgis motorcycle rally!
How Do I Volunteer?
1. You must be a female who is 18 years of age or older.
2. You must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
3. You must be available to attend a virtual orientation meeting via live conference as well as a pre-event orientation on August 3rd, 2017.
4. You must be available to work at least one 6-8 hour shift for each day of the event; length of shifts will depend on the position held.
The WGT Volunteer Team Expectations:
1. Expected to represent WGT and its staff appropriately while on duty.
2. Expected to maintain confidentiality with information received regarding WGT operations.
3. Not permitted to make statements speaking on behalf of WGT, especially to media/press.
4. Expected to perform their duties to the best of their abilities.
5. Will be respectful and attentive to the requests of all WGT and Buffalo Chip staff.
How Much Time Do I Have to Give?
1. A minimum of one 6-8 hour shift per day of the event is required.
2. Volunteers will be free to enjoy the festival free of responsibility before and after their scheduled shifts.
What is the dress code?
1. Volunteers will be provided 1 WGT official volunteer shirt that will be worn during all shifts.
2. Comfortable footwear is highly recommended, because volunteers will be on their feet most of the day.
What are the perks of being a WGT Volunteer?
1. Basic 4-day admission to the event (including all amenities) will be free*
2. Official WGT volunteer shirt
*Should a volunteer fail to adequately perform her duties, or exhibit inappropriate behavior, she may be dismissed at any time. Dismissal could result in ejection from the Buffalo Chip and a ban from future attendance of The Wild Gypsy tour.

A 10x10 tent space with power hookups is available for vendors at $400 for the duration of the 4-day festival.
This includes 1 admission ticket to the festival.
Additional admission tickets will be available at the rate of $249.
Vendors will be required to get a temporary SD Sales Tax license, which involves posting a bond of $500 against sales to be reported. The Sturgis Buffalo chip will be happy to walk you through this process.
Vendor permit will not be needed.
